As a Producer, you will work with News Coverage to field produce a variety of story elements for Broadcast and Cable.
- Generate story ideas through pitches using original sourcing or confirmation of existing material.
-Field produce interviews and elements for news stories. Sometime with a crew. Sometimes on your own as a DJ Producer.
-Basic shooting/lighting skills with DV camera, small light kit.
- Work closely with correspondents for Broadcast/Cable stories, including field producing live shots, assisting with editorial content and writing, communicating with the bureau desk, show producers, control room.
- Ability to multi-task on breaking news stories, including operation of LiveU app, posting updates to in-house alert system (News Connect), identifying potential characters for tape or live interviews, communicate effectively with team (correspondent, photographer, etc) on scene.
-Must be willing to work in the Miami, FL area -Must have at least 3 years' experience working as a network television news producer.
-Must have a Bachelor's degree.
-Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news -Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice, including weekends, if needed.
