We are looking for Toon Boom Riggers at all levels.
From Junior to Senior, for props and characters, with staggered start dates. From ASAP to May/June 2019.
So whether you’re an animator with no rigging experience that has always been interested in learning rigging… or a rigger with years of experience, we would love to hear from you!
What we would like to see in your portfolio:
-Some animation. We do prefer candidates with some animation experience, so you have an understanding of what’s required of your rigs.
- A video of your rigging process.
- Examples of problem solving. Screencaps of your node and camera view with some explanation would do.
- Examples of digital artwork. We need to know that you understand design and visual appeal.
- If you've completed Toon Boom courses or qualifications tests, please note it in your CV.
Create flexible rigs that support characters with physical comedy.
Design angles and poses out of a design pack, and adapt it to the style of the project.
Work with animators to ensure that you have a well functioning rig that’s still animation friendly; light and easy to access.
Collaborate with the Director to ensure that the rigs can translate their visual and storytelling ideas into production.
Work with the technical director to ensure that the rigs will conform to the production pipeline; neat, clean and organized.
If you are a senior rig artist, you will be working with and overlooking a breakdown artist. You will also be supporting the Lead Rigger with some tasks when needed; checking rigs and fielding rig-related questions.
