Responsibilities3+ years of social media and digital experience at entertainment publisher/distributors, public relations/communications, interactive, advertising, or marketing agency.
The role will oversee creative development, asset deployment and optimization of our film marketing campaigns throughout social media channels. Well versed in social media and emerging media channels, they will provide continuous cultural, digital and trend forecasting to inform creative recommendations and to motivate agency/vendor teams. In addition to our film-specific social channels, the social media lead will oversee our Focus Features corporate footprint, working with internal resources to promote various upcoming film content while building the Focus Features brand over time.
Serve as the primary creative lead on all film campaign initiatives within social communities, working with internal Focus resources and external agency partners to make sure film positioning and digital marketing goals are met and exceeded.
Craft brilliant and inspirational creative briefs to our social media and content agency partners pushing them to produce breakthrough strategies and creative
Manage both external vendors as well as internal resources to maximize the efficacy of all social media programs.
Must have a deep understanding of social media strategies and tactics, across all platforms, specifically related to building awareness and engagement for new film releases.
Additionally, ideal candidates understand community management principles including interaction, moderation, trends, and how to translate analytics into optimized content
Great understanding of digital media metrics a plus as well: how we can use social media platforms as media channels AND communities.
Leverage data to assist in engagement strategies; interpret research and trends, and translate to actionable strategic plans that can achieve stated content and campaign goals.
Additionally, you must utilize social metrics to inform tactics mid-campaign.
Identify, concept and create opportunities for social activations that help amplify marketing tactics throughout the entire marketing team: national and field publicity, media and creative.
Excellent content development skills including copywriting and content idation (design not required) as well as experience managing production of content for social media.Qualifications/Requirements
Strong digital communications and content development background as well
Strong expertise with social media measurement tools and platforms; timely knowledge of trends and hot topics.
Previous experience managing digital teams and programs or campaigns
Experience integrating social media programming and communications across multiple platforms and channels.
Ability to manage budgets and calculate program ROI.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully, across multiple tasks, with minimal supervision.
