ResponsibilitiesSupport Senior Digital Publicist with a variety of initiatives
The Digital Marketing group is under the umbrella of Universal Pictures mktg. The department is responsible for creating and maintaining an online presence for all theatrical releases across the internet and mobile devices, and is often the arena in which movies are initially introduced to the marketplace. This includes the official websites, ad creative, rich media, co-branded websites, and on-line publicity and promotions.
The individual in this position will have varied responsibilities while at the same fulfilling all digital publicity support functions. Exceptional communication skills both one-on-one and across all levels of management are crucial. Individuals must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, and to efficiently juggle a workload in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines. On a daily basis, the position requires someone that can take initiative with minimal direction, has the ability to seek out information from appropriate sources and has exceptional follow-through. Attention to detail is extremely important.
Individuals in this job must possess solid computer, writing, and creative skills, be self-reliant and able to implement and manage tasks independently. Strong Excel, Word and Powerpoint experience is a must. Experience with creative software (Photoshop) is also highly desirable, as is an interest in digital publicity and working with social media influencers.
Compile film reviews and online breaks via Daily Buzz for internal distribution
Manage press lists for asset distribution, screening invites, outreach, etc.
Create outreach emails distributed to key press contacts
Oversee screening and junket invitations and RSVPs for press
Arrange press travel to set visits, junkets, etc.
Update weekly publicity report per film
Monitor and compile reactions to film specific events – trailer debuts, screenings, premieres, festivals, special events, etc.
Assist with requests and interactions from contacts in Field, International and National Publicity.
Assist with talent requests for digital press opportunities including junkets, content days, set visits and premieres.
Staff and support publicity screenings, junkets and premiere events.
Create custom decks for various initiatives including trailer debuts, campaign summary, strategy outline, filmmaker presentations
Access web reporting systems (Wavemetrix, Comscore) to monitor trailer views and provide data on top sites
Work with legal to issue contracts
Assist in fulfilment of promotional programs
Coordinate logistics for digital specific and influencer events
Coordinate with external agencies to execute campaign elements as needed.Qualifications/Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in the entertainment industry, specifically digital marketing and/or publicity.
Firm knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

4 year college degree in marketing or related field is preferred but not required
Strong written communication skills at all levels
