ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Senior Creative Director of Development on execution of content development.Coordinate the activities of writers, directors, managers, and other personnel throughout the production process.Responsible for the effective collaboration with internal departments, as well as external production companies. Work effectively with Legal, Business and Legal Affairs, Creative Services and other areas. Monitor post-production processes in order to ensure accurate completion of all details.Perform management activities such as budgeting, scheduling, planning, and marketing.Determine production size, content, and budget, establishing details such as production schedules and management policies.Compose and edit scripts, or provide screenwriters with story outlines from which scripts can be written.Conduct meetings with staff to discuss production progress and to ensure production objectives are attained.Hire directors, principal cast members, and key production staff members.Oversee material for digital content.Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Primetime, Non-Scripted Programming, the Executive Producer, Development is responsible for building and managing teams to produce content.
1. Bachelor’s degree (TV/Film/Journalism or related field) and at least five years of production experience – preferably for a media or entertainment related company, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Experience in producing primetime, non-scripted content.
3. Proficient computer skills, emphasis on current social media platforms.
4. Proven ability to successfully work with a production team, while overseeing financial, technical and logistical aspects of the production and maintaining compliance.
