The producer/editor will work directly with the Social Consumer Engagement team and primarily be responsible for conceptualizing, researching, pitching, producing, editing, and delivering content to the social team. The producer/editor will have the opportunity to create social media content for the world’s biggest sporting events and leagues, including The Olympics, Sunday Night Football, NHL, Premier League, NASCAR and other sports in the NBC Sports Group portfolio.
ResponsibilitiesPitch, produce, and distribute video content to social media team after sufficiently researching and vetting all ideas
Edit a wide range of video formats and sizes (including 1:1, 4:5, 9:16) in accordance with NBC Sports brand guidelines and voice
Collaborate with NBC Sports consumer engagement and digital groups to create content that aligns with company priorities
Plan and develop a weekly production schedule alongside senior management to capitalize on storylines in sports and pop culture
Evaluate performance of work through key video metrics and provide meaningful feedback in order to adjust content and strategy
Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Minimum 2 years editing in a professional environment. Editing for sports social media a plus
Additional Skills Required
Adept in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
Fluency in social media best practices for all platforms and enthusiasm for adapting to changes to those best practices and platforms
Baseline knowledge of key social video metrics and how they impact user behavior and business decisions
