What is AnimationBase
Ahoy hoy!
Many of us have enjoyed those Friday nights together, dancing around the aluminium pole, airing our grievences to the UK animation community and, around 11:15pm, testing our feats of strength on the doorman.
Now we proudly present AnimationBase - a website which will allow you to widen your search for work in animation and gaming - a place where companies can rest their weary heads and place jobs for you all.
AnimationBase was once a child that went by the name of Festivus, created by two shy and secretive (and some say gorgeous) young philanthropists (some say idiots), who would rather retain an air of mystery and remain anonymous. Rob and Ian, annoyed by the constant drunken rantings of animators, storyboard artists and Richard Nye, made a bold decision. Then changed their minds and started a website.
Enjoy the site. Enjoy your chosen career. You chose it, after all.
Whatever...

Born of travelling immigrant gypsy parents, Rob grew up behind Roger Daltry's trout farm. With no formal schooling he entered the wonderful world of animation one september afternoon when after a long lunch of tennants super he took a wrong turn off Tottenham Court Road. Rob is widely uncredited with the original ideas for yellow submarine, ubu, snoopy and the peanuts gang, hazel out of watership down and the screenplay for striptease. Rob still lives. |
