Our team in Burnaby is looking for skilled animators to join.  Animators are responsible for portraying movement and behavior.  Most often their skill is used to give life to game characters and creatures, but sometimes animations are also applied to objects, scenery, vegetation, environmental effects, and other objects. Animators must be able to create emotionally believable characters that allow game players to interact with the game, whether photorealistic or stylized, in a realistic and believable fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop animation features, in collaboration with the designers, the animators and engineers working on other features
• Create high quality keyframe animation across a huge variety of crazy characters.
Required Technical Skills and Experience:
• Experienced CG character animator required
• Minimum 2 years work experience preferred but not essential
• Display a strong understanding of animation fundamentals
• Must possess excellent keyframing character animation skills 
• Must have strong working knowledge of a 3D animation package (Maya, XSI etc.)
• Experience working in gaming preferred but not essential
• Demo Reel showcasing character performances and actions
Performance Competencies:
• Candidate must have a strong work ethic and work well with a team
• Candidate must be meticulous, detail oriented, driven, and need very little supervision to put out high quality work
• Be able to give and receive constructive criticism
• Must have ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong technical communication and collaboration skills
• A passion for gameplay animation
